Early Detection and Treatment of Lung Cancer Gives The Best Chance of Survival
Join Lutheran Hospital, Dupont Hospital and Lutheran Downtown Hospital on Saturday, November 9 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. for National Lung Cancer Screening Day as we come together as a community to increase access to lung cancer screening and save lives. All Lutheran Health Network hospitals will extend imaging hours on November 9 in the fight against lung cancer - the leading cause of cancer deaths in the United States. Early detection improves survival rates significantly.
“National Lung Cancer Screening Day is a great opportunity to raise screening awareness and encourage eligible individuals to get screened. Many people must work during the week, which makes it difficult for them to get screened. That’s why National Lung Cancer Screening Day is on a Saturday – to make it easier for people to take more control of their health by getting screened when it’s convenient, “ said Dr. Domenic Martinello, chief medical officer of Lutheran Hospital. “Get screened so we can help reduce disparities, promote equity, and save more lives, “ he added.
To schedule an appointment, call (833) 546-4968, option 2, then option 1. Please note: callers who do not meet the self-referral criteria for lung cancer screenings must request a referral from their healthcare provider.
