Lynn Mergen Named Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital CEO

Lynn Mergen has been named the chief executive officer of Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital effective August 8, succeeding Jae Dale who retired earlier this year.
Mergen joins Lutheran Health Network from Medical Center Barbour in Eufaula, Alabama, where he is currently chief executive officer. He brings nearly 30 years experience to Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital, having served as CEO of hospitals in Oklahoma, Missouri, Arizona, Florida and Texas.
“Lynn is an excellent choice to lead our Kosciusko hospital,” said Scott Teffeteller, Lutheran Health Network market CEO. “I am very impressed with all he has accomplished, as well as his desire to develop impactful partnerships with other community leaders to improve the overall health of the area.”
Mergen’s career includes numerous successful initiatives, including building strong teams and community relationships, the establishment of new services, creating a strong workplace culture and improving quality. He also developed and led the construction of the Centennial Medical Center hospital in Frisco, Texas.
“We are very pleased we could recruit a leader of Lynn's caliber to join Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital," said Alan Alderfer, chair of the hospital's board of directors. "His experience will serve us very well as we implement our $30 million campus capital improvement project.”
Mergan earned a Bachelor of Science in sociology and anthropology from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri, and a master's of healthcare administration from University of Missouri at Columbia.
