Area well-wishers ready to make spirits bright for patients at Lutheran Children's Hospital

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Dec. 11, 2017) - Patients at Lutheran Children's Hospital benefit year-round from the outpouring of kindness this region demonstrates, especially during the holidays. Each December, there are multiple opportunities to capture the generosity of our communities as they spread cheer. LCH appreciates the one-time visits as well as the long-term support its patients receive from many different people and organizations throughout northeastern Indiana and beyond.
Listed below are just a few of the special activities happening prior to Christmas. Media must notify Geoff Thomas if interested in covering any LCH visit or activity as consent of patients will need to be coordinated with parents or guardians in advance.
Friday, Dec. 15

Christ's Starfish Foundation
CSF representatives drop off items to assemble nearly 150 Christmas bags filled with various gifts for distribution throughout the month leading up to Christmas Day
Monday, Dec. 18

Fort Wayne Komets
Players wearing the Summit City's favorite all-season sweater make their annual visit to Lutheran Children's Hospital to deliver stuffed animals
Wednesday, Dec. 20

Preferred Auto
Team members from one of LCH's most active local supporters will be joined by Santa to deliver stuffed animals
Editor's note: members of the media covering any of the visits are invited to park in the south parking garage and gather in the south lobby, which is located in Medical Office Building Two, 7910 W. Jefferson Blvd., on the Lutheran Hospital campus.
